OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH IN AGRICULTURE

Opportunities for Youth in Agriculture is an initiative of FLIP FARM RESORT. it is an intervention programme aimed at training young people in the ages from 16 years in modern agricultural practices to showcase the possibilities in the Food Systems using training, internship, and mentorship platforms.

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO THREE-MONTHS INTENSIVE TRAINING.

Applicants are now invited from suitable candidates for placement into a Three-Month Training in Agroforestry, Snail farming, Piggery, Aquaculture, Vegetable Value Chains and Agribusiness at the Flip Farm Resort in Rounder, Abeokuta Ogun state. After the Training, participants who will like to maintain or continue to farm will be awarded some portions of land to continue with the farming business. An assessment will be conducted at the end of the Training to determine the participant’s level of comprehension and also serve as the basis for a reward system to encourage hard work.

PRACTICAL TRAINING ON THE FARM.

FREE ACCOMMODATION FOR 3 MONTHS.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants Can apply in person in any of our offices or fill out the application form below. Applicants should follow the online instructions on filling out the registration form and upload the required documents. Applicants are instructed to fill in all required details as failing to do so would render their application incomplete. Shortlisted candidates will be notified through SMS to attempt the online Aptitude Test on dates to be slated for each month

Please note the following: OYA  is a training program geared towards building the capacity of participants in agricultural practices in addition to creating a pool of employable young talented individuals to fill spaces in commercial farms and by taking young adults off the street. After training and going through the Internship and Mentorship phase of the program, a certificate of participation will be issued.

The program does not include the provision of input support to participants (except the top performers in the assessment conducted at the end of the training phase of the program who will be considered for input support).
